New Grant Program Aimed at Helping Businesses to Reopen
The Montgomery County Council has passed legislation that creates a grant program designed to help local businesses comply with reopening requirements.
The program will provide grants of up to $5000 per applicant. $14 million in total has been appropriated for the program. The program will reimburse expenses such as PPE, cleaning supplies, and many other necessary services.
In order to be eligible for the program, a business must meet the following requirements: They must be based in the county, employ 100 or fewer full-time employees, and have not received financial assistance from the county for reopening expenses.
