 Provide new guests with a tour of the facility
 Ensure each shelter guest is provided with breakfast and lunch
 Accept dinner donations and properly store or begin heating for dinner, when appropriate
 Ensure each client is provided a cot, bed and bath linens, locker, and the opportunity to sign up to do personal
laundry.
 Maximize contact with clients by being physically visible to all guests throughout the day
 Establish and maintain positive professional rapport with guests at all times
 Plan and supervise activities for guests during the day
 Proactively manage potential and actual conflicts among guests and call resources such as 911 or the
Montgomery County Crisis Center, as needed to ensure the safety of all persons in the shelter
 Encourage and facilitate each client to access case management
 Maintain confidentiality of guests at all times in and outside of work environment
 Keep accurate records in logbook, intake paperwork, assignments of cots, cubbies and lockers, and other
