Denny’s has been closed for over a year and we’ve been waiting for its demolition for months. Today, it happened.

There will be an additional entrance to the shopping center at Centerway and Watkins Mill Roads, as Centerway would cut all the way through the shopping center according to the new plans.

We know that Aldi will be taking over as the grocery anchor of the shopping center, while Lidl is coming across the street. Suggestions from the community regarding new retail spots included Five Guys and Starbucks, but there have been no talks with those specific franchises.

Below you’ll see a few renderings of what’s to come for the Montgomery Village Shopping Center.
