Da Marco the Italian Place has closed permanently.

The Italian restaurant opened on Seneca Meadows Pkwy, near Wegmans, in Germantown in 2016. It is the sister restaurant if Pizzeria Da Marco in Bethesda, which we were told is remaining open.

They released the following statement:

Farewell

Dear Da Marco Friends and Family,

On behalf of myself, Carlos, Chef Ricardo and all of the Da Marco Team, we want to thank you for an amazing past three years. We are honored that you all embraced us with open arms and invited us into your life, allowing us to share in so many of your special celebratory moments, and a few of life’s sad ones too.

We have had to make a difficult decision effective today. Due to the challenging times we are currently facing, we have decided it is time to close our doors permanently. This is not an easy decision as we have loved sharing with you the food, wine and culture that we are so passionate about; that comes straight from our heart.

This is not a, “good bye”, but rather a,” see you around!”

We feel so lucky and blessed that we are all healthy and have so many great memories to take with us.

I could not end this without a hardy THANK YOU to our AWESOME staff. We literally could not have done it without you.

I want to thank everyone who has come to our Halloween Parties, Ugly Christmas Sweater Parties, Tuesday’s with Andrew O’ Day and especially our wine dinners with Nick Materese and Pinky from Pinky and Pepe’s Grape Escape!

Please sign up for our news letter on our website for future updates.

Ciao for now!!!

Shelly and the Da Marco Team
