Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington Announces 2024 RAMMY Awards Finalists

Restaurant industry professionals and allies gathered this evening as the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW) announced Finalists for the 2024 RAMMY Awards. Finalists will be recognized again and winners announced Sunday, July 21, 2024 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center at the 42nd Annual RAMMYS Awards Gala, which  honors excellence in the restaurant and foodservice industry in the Washington, DC area across a range of categories celebrating culinary concepts, service, and individuals.

The selection process for the Finalists, and ultimately the winners, involves two esteemed groups, the voting public and an anonymous panel of volunteer judges, consisting of food and dining journalists, educators, and foodservice industry professionals.

The voting public will decide the winners in five categories: Best Bar, Best Brunch, Favorite Fast Bites, Favorite Gathering Place, and Hottest Sandwich Shop of the Year. Public votes for these categories open 9:00 am, Tuesday, April 9, 2024 online at nbcwashington.com/RAMMYS through 5:00 pm, Wednesday, May 31, 2024.

The 2024 RAMMY Awards Finalists are (*denotes publicly voted category*):

New Restaurant of the Year: A restaurant that must have opened between January 1, 2023 and December 31, 2023 and already distinguishes itself as a pacesetter in food, beverage and hospitality. The nominee must be a current member of RAMW.

Cocktail Program of the Year: The establishment is distinguished by the quality, diversity, clarity and value of its craft cocktail program, evaluated separately from its beer, wine or other beverages. Nominees may be bars, restaurants, or any foodservice establishment with an exemplary cocktail program. The nominee continues to break new ground in the education of its staff. The nominee must be a current member of RAMW and must have been in business a minimum of one year by December 31, 2023.

Beer Program of the Year: The establishment is distinguished by the quality, diversity, clarity and value of its beer program. The nominee continues to break new ground in the education of its staff. The nominee must be a current member of RAMW and must have been in business a minimum of one year by December 31, 2023.

The nominee must be a current member of RAMW and must have been in business a minimum of one year by December 31, 2023.

The nominee must be a current member of RAMW, or be employed by a member business.

  • 2024 Honorary Milestone Award, honoring dining staples celebrating a significant 25, 50, and 75 years serving locals and visitors in Metropolitan Washington.
