Car Wash Coffee has opened in the former Savannah's location in Kensington (10700 Connecticut Avenue). It is co-ownered by Steve Harris, who currently owns the Kensington Mr. Wash car wash and Neal Bressler, who owns Neal’s Bagels in Gaithersburg.
The location will have a coffee lounge with sofas and community tables and will serve breakfast and lunch all day
They will serve Vigilante coffee from Hyattsville and offer growlers of cold brew for $16.99 for a 32 ounce growler and $8.99 for a refill. Cold brew can be served for up to two weeks out of that growler.
Their cold brew is brewed for 20 hours for a more intense coffee flavor. Their Nitro Brew is cold brew served from what resembles a beer tap. It is infused with CO2. It looks like you are drinking a Guinness due to the frothy head and dark coloring.
Their bagels are made at Neals Bagels in Gaithersburg and delivered daily to Car Wash Coffee. All other food is made on the premises in Kensington, including lunch sandwiches, bakery items (cookies, muffins, etc.) acai bowls, cream cheeses, and salads.
Car Wash Coffee offers a private meeting room with space for 8 including a conference table and flat screen TV. Room rental and coffee for 8 included in the $85 per hour room rental rate.

For now it seems to just be a rumor, but one that has travelled quickly. According to restaurant management it has not been sold.
Continental Pizza, located at 10532 Connecticut Ave., was founded in Kensington in 1967.
